Upcoming changes to Zoning at the Planning Commission on 2/22 re: Tiny Homes/ADUS and marijuana transporters

Please be aware the Planning Commission will discuss zoning changes regarding allowance of Tiny Homes/Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU’s) on 2/22 starting at 7pm.

Additionally, the Commission will discuss the addition of “marijuana transporters” to Sec. 16-32 Use Group Charts. Please see explanation below.

During the 2016 Regular Session of the Colorado Legislature, state lawmakers adopted House Bill (HB) 16-1211, subsequently signed by the Governor on June 10, 2016.  HB 16-1211, a copy of which is attached for your reference, authorizes a new type of license in the burgeoning legalized marijuana industry: “marijuana transporters.” In the contexts of both medical and retail marijuana, the Bill defines a new class of licensees generally authorized to transport and temporarily store marijuana and marijuana products, but not authorized to sell the same.

These meetings are open to the Public and everyone is encouraged to attend.
