On Tuesday, Mach 10, 2020, there will be a “Meet the Candidates” event at the Nederland Community Center. The evening will start at 6pm with an informal meet-and-greet. The “Meet the Candidate” event will begin at 7pm in the theatre. During the event, candidates will be asked three questions that they will be given 90 seconds to respond to. Two of the questions will be pre-submitted questions that the candidates will receive 24 hours in advance and can prepare for. One question will be asked during the event.
For the two pre-submitted questions, we are asking that community members submit questions that they would like the candidates to answer. Town will be accepting questions until 5pm on Thursday, February 27, 2020.
On Friday, February 28, 2020, all the questions will be listed in an online survey. Community members will have until 5pm on Friday, March 6, 2020 to vote for their top two questions for each position. The top two votes for the Mayoral candidates and the top two votes for the Trustee candidates will be the questions asked.
