Nederland Town Administrator Announces Plans to Leave Position in 5 months
On March 31, 2021, Gerrity notified the Board of Trustees and Town Staff of her intention to leave the position in 5 months.
In her email notification Gerrity stated, “I’ve been working in nonprofit and government administration for almost four decades and have enjoyed an incredibly diverse, juicy, and fulfilling career. Working for the Town of Nederland is an honor and pleasure.
It is time now for me to take a pause and a “year on” to explore other passions and interests while focusing on my well-being and my family. This will be a precious time for me to reimagine how to best show up in service to others in this next chapter. “
A Staff Transition Team has formed comprised of Deputy Town Administrator/Town Clerk Miranda Fisher, Town Treasurer Rita Six and Gerrity. They will work closely with department and division heads to create and activate an operational transition plan.
The Board of Trustees will consider next steps at their April 6, 2021 meeting.
