Happy 4th of July! Please remember… Fireworks are illegal within Town Limits

As we head into the 4th of July weekend, this is a reminder that it is unlawful for any person to sell, use or possess fireworks within the Town limits.

Fireworks includes:

Any article, device or substance prepared for the primary purpose of producing a visual or auditory sensation by combustion, explosion, deflagration or detonation, including, without limitation, the following articles and devices commonly known and used as fireworks: blank cartridges, toy pistols, toy cannons, toy canes, toy guns, in which explosives are used; fire balloons (balloons of the type which have a burning material of any kind attached thereto or which require fire underneath to propel them); firecrackers, torpedoes, skyrockets, rockets, Roman candles, Day-Glo bombs, torches or other fireworks of like construction and any fireworks containing any explosive or flammable compound, any tablets or other device containing any explosive substance.

Anyone convicted of violating the fireworks law, shall be fined a minimum of five hundred dollars ($500.00).

The area is dry with elevated fire danger so please respect our community and refrain from using any illegal fireworks.
