Quick facts on Milestone:

  • Provides control of many noxious and invasive weed species, including biennial and perennial thistles, knapweeds, oxeye daisy, and scentless chamomile.
  • Specifically designed for rangeland and pasture use (No grazing restrictions for any type of livestock or wildlife, including lactating dairy animals, beef cattle, sheep, goats and horses) • Very low (“practically nontoxic” designation) toxicity to birds, fish, mammals and aquatic invertebrates • Controls many annual, biennial and perennial weeds at low use rates (4-7 ounces per acre) • Non-volatile, non-2,4-D formulation • Systemic and residual activity effectively controls weeds at multiple growth stages •  Safe to desirable grasses • Is not a federally restricted use pesticide (can be applied by homeowners) • Low, environmentally-friendly use rates of 3 to 7 fluid ounces an acre • Soil residual for season-long control of newly germinating weeds • Has a 35 day half-life with no degradation metabolites of concern (only CO2 and H20) • Chance of groundwater contamination is low; studies show little movement in soils (particularly vertically – important for wells).
