FINAL UPDATE: Water Outage – King Pl & Brown St

Utilities Dept. expects to have service restored around 6-6:30 pm tonight.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.

As always, when service is interrupted: if you experience discolored water, flush the line with COLD WATER ONLY.  This discoloration is not a health hazard, but could stain porcelain or laundry.  Run your cold water until it runs clear before using it for laundry or using hot water.

Please be advised that if you are without water in this area, that an unexpected main line repair is in the works.  The Utilities Dept. is on scene and hopes to complete the repair as soon as possible.

The Town of Nederland will finish a SCHEDULED water line repair tomorrow July 11th. The project may continue until the morning of July 12th. This will require us to temporarily shut off your water service.
We apologize for any inconvenience and will restore service as soon as possible. We will let you know immediately when the water is turned back on.
After the work is complete, Town of Nederland Water Department will flush water mains in your area. Flushing may stir up sediment in the pipes and result in discolored and/or rusty water.
There are no known health hazards associated with discolored water. If discolored water is apparent, run several cold water taps at full force until the water clears. Avoid washing laundry or using hot water.
