by CynthiaB on March 14, 2017

BCHA purchased .85 acres of land across the street (to the north) of the RTD Park-n-Ride in downtown Nederland to build approximately 34 new permanently-affordable homes for Nederland-area residents and others within the 30-60% Area Median Income (AMI). BCHA will hold two meetings prior to the Final Planned Unit Development (PUD) review by the Planning Commission on March 22 at the Nederland Community Center to help ensure interested parties can attend to hear and inquire about their proposal.

The dates and times are as follows:

Tuesday, March 14th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Nederland Community Center Multi-Purpose Room

Monday, March 20th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Nederland Community Center Multi-Purpose Room

Tentative agenda for both evenings:

6:30 – 7:00 p.m. – Guests arrive, mingle, get refreshments, collect information

7:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Presentation by BCHA on proposal specifics, processes, and financing requirements, with opportunities for public input, Q&A session

8:00 – 8:30 p.m. – Wrap-up, additional items, next steps

BCHA will collect contact information from attendees at these events to stay in touch and provide updates as available.

Please help spread the word! BCHA would like to provide clear and accurate information to residents  who have questions about the proposal, and who BCHA hopes to serve, along with clarifying the processes and timelines for affordable housing development.
