How To Get a New or Replacement EcoPass

FOR ALL PASSES:  RTD requires that all residents show a government issued photo ID and other proof of residency. RTD lists the following as acceptable documents for proof of residency: a current utility bill or a financial statement with the physical address listed. Please note: A driver’s license with a Nederland address WILL NOT count as proof of residency.

* For Minors: A photo ID (if none available then a parent or guardian with a photo ID) and current proof of residency (such as the Family page from the BVSD Infinite Campus site, or any legal document showing guardianship and current address) are required.

EcoPass Hours are every Wednesday from 9am to 5pm.  If you are unable to come in on that day, you may schedule an appointment for another specific day and time; please call 303-258-3266 x0 to schedule that appointment.


NEW PASSES:  The bus pass is a picture pass.  Pictures will be taken at Nederland Town Hall.  You will be contacted by e-mail within approximately 1 week, that your EcoPass is ready for you to pick-up at Town Hall.  If you would prefer, Town Hall staff can issue you a Rider ID # and an Authorization Form to bring to RTD.  To start that process, bring your government issued photo ID and proof of physical residence to Town Hall.  You will then have thirty (30) days to submit your form to one of four locations in the Boulder or Denver area.  RTD will take your picture at that time and issue your pass the same day. Boulder & Denver hours vary by location; this information will be on the Authorization Form.

REPLACEMENT PASSES:  Please follow the same procedure outlined above in “NEW PASSES”, to get a replacement pass. The cost for a replacement pass is $10.00, and will be paid to Town Hall by cash or check only.  If you choose to get your pass from Boulder or Denver, that fee will be paid directly to them.
