Boulder Canyon Drive has been closed from Hurricane Hill Drive to Magnolia Road as county fire and hazardous materials crews respond to a roll-over accident involving a 4,000-gallon propane truck.

The accident occurred at the 32 mile-marker of Boulder Canyon Drive at around 11 a.m. this morning. Dispatchers said a truck hauling propane rolled over, causing diesel to spill into Boulder Creek.

The driver of the truck was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved, according to dispatchers. Boulder County’s Hazmat team is responding to the call.

Dispatchers also indicated the city of Boulder has been notified diesel is spilling into Boulder Creek.

Officials did not say how long the road could be closed.
